Double Page Final Draft

This is the only one that i actually worked hard on and i'm quite happy with how it turned out, but i do see room for improvment which no matter how much i try, it never works. Mostly to do with the text, it looks really cramped and keeps going over white backgrounds making it difficult to read but it is the best i can do with it no matter how hard i work on it so this is the best i can do. Besides it is quite a minor flaw in my opinion.

This is my 2nd draft, although i do think this is much better than my first one, i still think it's pretty crap, the writting is practically unreadable here and the picture is just me with a filter put over it.

Here is my first draft for my double page spread, this one is pretty crap and really i didn't try very hard for this one and i just rushed through it.

Peer Feedback

The strengths of this contents page are the text and the main image. The image looks professional and the text stands out, attracting the eye. I also like the layout of the smaller images along the side.
It could be improved by taking a bigger range of photographs of a few different people.

Overall I think you should improve the colours within your page, make them stand out more or use different contrasting colours. I think you need to change the background as there is too much white within the page, maybe change some of the blocks of white to a different red or yellow colour. Overall I like your font type and think the page is interesting. I think also the use of the magazine name is very good and clever. :)

I like your contents page I think it fits together really well however  the main section is spread out  a lot an I think if you were too bring it together it would really work.

This is my final contents design, although some elements of it displease me, overall i'm happy with the final design.

Contents Page Draft #3

Out of all three of my drafts, this i'd say is the strongest one i did, and although some elements of it do look quite messy, i still think it came out well. For this one i took inspiration from "Q" magazine, and this one turned out much better than the first draft did.

This is easily the weakest of my drafts as i really didn't have a very good idea on what to do with this one, so it came out looking like this.

This was the first draft I developed, for this one i took inspiration from the magazine "Empire" although it didn't turn out of well as I hoped, but i still think it turned out quite well for a first draft

A lot of the feedback i got was complimentary on the unique style of the magazine and the photoshop skills, but one of the main focuses was to alter the text and model used in the images to make them look more conventional, so this I will do.

I have reviewed your blog, and I think it is overall up to a good standard. Your drafts are really different and your editing skills are really good. Your font overall is really good and clear. I think you are up to date, and there aren't many improvements you can do. I think you have all the elements needed to create a good magazine, and you've used them well.

I think that this blog is good becasue it includes a behind the scenes video and other things that were extra.

The strengths of this front cover are the colour scheme that stays the same throughout the cover and it looks professional.

I think that the front cover might look even better if the image wasnt in black and white.

I like how your blog is set out and how everything is very clear and how you have described what you like about the images you have taken and what you dont like. Your final front cover is good with a clear masthead and pull quotes but you could change the date and issue number so it is straight instead of digonal as it would be more conventional.

Areas for improvement

• The blog is good and I like the dark mysterious background. On the front cover I like the title because the style of it is like youtube. I also like the glow around the model. Could have more features int the magazine as well.

I like your set out of your blog, some texts may be too small to read but you have used different ways to bring out the information for example a video, powerpoint and images.
I like your final front cover but looking at some of the other images you have used, i think you could of changed the image to a stronger one, but the other parts of the front cover look well presented and i like what you have named the magazine it works well with the genre.
