A demographic is a group of people that a specific product targets towards, there are many types of demographics such as gender, age, ethnicity that people always attempt to appeal towards. However the table that I have used as an example above would be a demographic of peoples economic and social class status, the people ranked an A would be those in society who would be considered rich, sophisticated and powerful people while people in the E class would be people of small financial stature and poorly classed citizens. This would be one of the easiest ways to categorize people demographically because that way businesses can target their products towards those who can afford their products, no matter on their specific tastes. Even if a business is targeting to people in that demographic who wouldn’t be interested in purchasing their product, it is still the best way to do it due to the fact that by appealing to everyone who would be able to afford it, they would still be able to market it to those that will buy it, especially considering if they market it to those that wouldn’t be able to purchase it then that would not help them in anyway because the people in that demographic wouldn’t be able to purchase it.
